31 weeks
I forgot to post this during the week of the 22nd.
Last Monday, 12/22/08, I went to the doctor's office for a non-stress test. All weekend the baby barely moved and I had first time pregnancy concerns. Everything turned out to be just fine but I did get a picture of her at 31 weeks. She is holding up her left hand infront of her face.

Christmas Time
Christmas came and flew by; we had so much going on that our 4 day weekend seemed like a 2 day weekend.

Santa was good to Elsie and Logan. They got tug ropes, chew bones, and Elsie got her favorite squeaky chicken. She has been squeaking it non stop; she even put it next to the baby and the baby kicked back after she squeaked for the baby. The baby got Ian a Denver Broncos Baby Mobile. All though it is depressing to hang up after last nights loss.
This Christmas we were blessed. A special friend of the family joined us for Christmas, Mr. Rich Nethaway. It was wonderful to finally meet him and hear his stories from his past. He brought Ian and Corey some really special gifts from his younger years. Ian and I both agree that when we are 20 years younger than Rich currently is we want to be just as sharp and independent as him.

Turkey Day Surprise
This last week I took my last flight home to California to spend some much needed time with my family. Upon my return Ian surprised me with with what he had accomplished in the baby's room. While I was away, Ian purchased the baby furniture and set up the room. It is absolutly beautiful! It seems weird to have that furniture in my home but it looks great.

Sunday, we did our annual Christmas Tree find. It was freezing out but we still had a great time. On the way home, I looked at Elsie and Logan (who were passed out in the back of the Jeep) and realized this would be the last time we could take the jeep with the dogs. From now on, the truck will have to be our tree vehicle. I got the dogs Christmas hats this year. I customized Elsie's so her ears could stick out on top. They don't look very appreciative.

My Buddha Belly
I have received numerous request to see how big my belly has grown. Well lets just say if you rub my belly it is a sign of Good Luck and Good Fortune. Here I am at 25 weeks. Thankfully my Buddha Belly is also 25 centimeters and right on track for growth. I am suppose to grow one centimeter a week. I am happy to report my big belly does not have any funky marks on it.
Ian and I decided to take the picture in the baby's room so everyone can see colors we painted in her room. Her room colors are Lavender, Light Sage Green & White. Now that the room is painted we just need to buy everything else that we need. Luckily for us our good friends, Brad & Kari, loaned us their infant seat, 3 car bases, a high chair and swing.

Going back to Cali
This past weekend I went home to California to visit friends and family. Sometimes I enjoy Colorado so much I forget how much I love it back home.

Boulding Belly Bet - On the left, Uncle Ron Boulding and his beer belly. On the right Elisha with her Baby Belly. By November will have Uncle Ron's belly shrunk and Elisha's Belly be larger?

"Paint Tragedy". Check out Elsie's left ear
Hanging with Auntie Noelle & Great Auntie Linda. Not that Linda is old enough to be a great Aunt, it is just by default she is Noelle's mom which makes her Great.

Eating at the Waffle Lady with Kat and Julia

Let the "Nesting" begin
The other day I awoke and decided that our bedroom needs to be redone. I have decided that all color schemes need to go. So I went to Lowes, grabbed some paint samples and it is out with the old and in with the new. I am using Elsie's bed as my "inspirational" piece. Our wall colors will be Mercer (for the cut out and bathroom) and Bird Bath grey for the remaining walls. So far we are 1/2 way through the painting. Ian is so supportive of my nesting behavior,
he has been doing most of the painting and was ok with the idea of replacing the lighting fixture in the bathroom. As soon as the wall colors are done then I will change out the bedding and window treatments. Logan is sad because he likes his red and orange bed; but soon he will have a new bed cover to match.

Groovin' Baby Stewie
Yesterday I finally felt the baby move. I was sitting at my desk and noticed something "flicking" me on my lower left side. After about a minute I realized it was Baby Stewie. I was so excited, finally something to confirm that Yes I really am pregnant. And then another pregger reality check, I got nauseous from feeling the baby move for about 10 minutes. Sunday marks week 17 so hopefully things start to get better. Obviously some food is staying with me I put on 10 pounds!
This Saturday marks Ian and I's 5th wedding anniversary. We still can't believe it has been 5 years; I guess time really does fly when you are having fun. Sadly Ian leaves tomorrow for Albuquerque for a SWAT school. But that is OK; Elsie, Logan and I will get a "meal to go" and have a nice dinner between the 3 of us. I will probably give into my craving of a cherry coke and either baked or mashed potatoes. I have been real good about saving my cravings for when I really need them. So far so good.

Good News Healthy Baby!

We got a wonderful call this morning; our test results came back that we have a normal healthy baby developing. Finally some good news!
I am getting pretty crafty at making my current clothes fit. I love the tummy sleeves they do wonders but not all pants will work with the sleeve. Luckily the styles these days consist of long shirts that do not have a waist. For fun, I tried on my black tube dress. My tummy look like I LOVE HAPPY HOUR. I guess when you put on 7 pounds in the past 14 weeks what do I expect. See for your self but I have to warn you the pictures do not do justice.

We're Pregnant!

Well friends and family, it is official. The Stewart family will be gaining one more addition, February 22, 2009. Yes, on June 21st & 3 at-home-pregnancy tests later we found out we are pregnant. Ian and I are both thrilled but it has been a long 3 months. I don't have "morning sickness" but "all day vomit sickness". I am hoping since I am at week 12 the sickness will stop and Elsie, Logan and I can re-start our daily walks.
Since June 21st we have had 4 ultrasounds. It is amazing how fast Baby Stewie has grown. Monday, Baby Stewie was in the 74th percentile of size. At first we thought he/she was small, but quickly realized that 50% is the norm. He/She has arms, hands, feet, legs and a large head. He/She is quite the mover and shaker in there.
Fashion Crisis - Last Thursday, I walked by the mirror and noticed that my belly has decided to make an appearance. Now, a week later, some of my pants & tops are not fitting. The doctor said that I popped so fast because the baby has not were to go. I guess I am suppose to feel good about that but now that my clothes aren't fitting makes me think otherwise.
Our next appointment is in 8 weeks, so I will keep everyone posted on how things are going.
